Oneida County obtains restraining order against Hochul's mandate.
Oneida County can begin hiring separated corrections officers following a State Supreme Court judge’s ruling on April 2, 2023, which issued a temporary restraining order against Governor Kathy Hochul’s executive order. The order, announced on March 10, would have disqualified about 2,000 officers who participated in a February strike from government jobs. County Executive Anthony Picente emphasized that this ruling is a victory for dedicated correction officers, allowing them to continue their public service careers.📺 Fetch Source
