Oneida County Pride Alliance Hosts Trans Rights Rally at Oneida Square
In honor of Transgender Day of Visibility, the Oneida County Pride Alliance held a Trans rights rally at Oneida Square on March 31, drawing hundreds from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Organizer Ace Morreale emphasized the need to protect transgender rights amid rising anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in several states, including a proposed Texas bill that would make being transgender a felony. Morreale stated that while New Yorkers enjoy relative safety, there is a broader duty to advocate for transgender rights nationally and across state lines.
